Cracked Headlight Repair Using Epoxy Put’s $2,300 in Pocket! – Auto Body Secrets!

By: tonybrichie

In this video, I will show you how to use 3M panel bonding epoxy to make simple plastic repairs and how you can do simple repairs that could save you a lot of time and money down the line, just like what we did on this BMW i3 headlight.

So we got a 2015 BMW i3. My mom smashed it, thankfully she’s okay. The front cracked pretty much, both headlights as far as the back mounting bracket area and everything’s plastic.

So we got paid out insurance money and what we’re going to do is to save. Each headlight was about $1,300 OEM part replacement, so it’s 2600 bucks. it’s actually a little bit more than that close to 1400 each.

These are the pieces that broke off. So all we’re going to do is use our panel bonding epoxy.

Now you need a special gun for this but this in my opinion is one of the best panel bonding epoxies that you can get, -it’s by 3M.

You can get these kits on eBay at a pretty reasonable price point. You can just buy it under about 140 bucks, I think and then the cartridge itself is about 30 to 40 bucks per cartridge. And we’re going to be using this to basically weld up our cracked plastic so enjoy the video comment down below, let me know what you think. Hope you love it.
